Procurement Mining Supervisor

What youll be doing

• Supervising the procurement team to ensure the efficient and effective sourcing of materials, equipment and services required for mining operations

• Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers to obtain the best possible terms and pricing

• Monitoring and optimising inventory levels to meet production requirements while minimising excess stock

• Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to understand and anticipate procurement needs

• Implementing and maintaining robust procurement policies and procedures

• Providing training and support to the procurement team to continually develop their skills and capabilities

• Generating detailed reports on procurement activities, costs and performance

What were looking for

• Significant experience in a procurement or supply chain role, ideally within the mining or manufacturing industries

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimise inventory and sourcing strategies

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to procurement

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

• A collaborative, customer-focused approach and the ability to work well in a team
