Procurement Staff

Job Summary:

The Procurement Staff plays a crucial role in ensuring the companys purchasing and procurement needs are met efficiently and effectively. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Purchase goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and terms.

• Process purchase orders and ensure accurate entry into the companys purchasing system.

• Review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy.

• Verify delivery dates and quantities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

• Monitor vendor performance and collaborate with suppliers to resolve any issues.

• Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports.

• Assist with inventory management activities, including cycle counting and reconciling inventory discrepancies.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.

• Knowledge of purchasing principles, practices, and procedures.

• Experience with purchasing software and systems preferred.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• A conversational level of English proficiency is very much required.
