Product and Sales Manager - Material Handling

Client Details: Material Handling Partner- Forklift

Job Description:

• National Sales Leadership: Own and execute sales strategies for Japanese forklift units across all branches, ensuring targets and dealer KPIs are met;

• Dedicated Team Leadership: Lead a Jakarta-based sales team, set performance goals, and ensure alignment with national dealer objectives;

• Portfolio Management: Plan and manage the product lineup—including diesel and electric forklifts—to optimize pricing, availability, and margins;

• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to refine go-to-market approaches and recommend new dealer offerings;

• Principal Coordination: Communicate, negotiate, and coordinate closely with our principal—securing exclusive promotions, aligning on product roadmaps, and optimizing ordering terms;

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with parts and service teams to guarantee unit availability, spare-parts supply, and after-sales support for customers;

• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of Branch Managers and Sales Team to build a high-performing sales force.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field;

• Minimum 15 years experience in Material Handling sales (dealer environment), with at least 5 years in a managerial leadership role;

• Deep knowledge of Japanese forklift models, specifications, and Japanese-brand material handling technology;

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills in English; Japanese or Mandarin proficiency is a plus;

• Previous technical/engineering background will be a plus

• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
