Requirements:

Education:

Bachelors degree (S1) in one of the following fields (fresh graduate welcome):

• Product Design / Industrial Design

• Chemical Engineering / Food Technology / Pharmacy

• Material Science / Textile / Bioproducts

Skills & Traits:

• Strong interest in consumer products, especially baby care or hygiene categories

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn

• Comfortable with numbers, timelines, and tracking sheets

• Good communication skills (written & verbal) — Bahasa & English (Chinese is a plus)

• Curious mindset and growth-driven attitude

• Open to working with suppliers, coordinating samples, and even visiting factories (local/international)

Bonus Points If You:

• Have done any student project related to product development related to baby/hygiene products

• Have internship experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or supply chain

Are passionate about designing helpful, safe, and sustainable products

Role Summary:

The Product Development Associate is responsible for executing and coordinating day-to-day activities related to developing a high-quality, innovative baby diaper product. Working closely with a part-time senior advisor, this role supports research, sample management, vendor communication, product documentation, and compliance tracking.

Key Responsibilities:1. Market & Product Research

• Conduct competitor benchmarking (features, packaging, price)

• Compile insights from global and local diaper brands

• Support in translating findings into product specifications

2. Vendor Coordination & Sample Management

• Coordinate with suppliers (via email, WeChat, Alibaba, etc.)

• Track sample shipments, timelines, and customizations

• Evaluate samples and compile quality/performance feedback

3. Specification Documentation & Product Files

• Prepare and update product tech packs

• Maintain clear records of versions, mockups, and vendor files

• Assist in drafting packaging specifications

4. Prototype & User Testing Support

• Organize small-scale user testing (e.g., with parents or caregivers)

• Collect and structure feedback for internal reviews/testing

• User testing

• Document absorbency test results and comparisons

5. Compliance Research & Tracking

• Research BPOM, SNI, and lab testing requirements

• Support collection of safety certifications from suppliers

• Coordinate with testing labs for dermatology or safety tests

6. Factory Visit Support (China or Local)

• Assist in planning vendor visits (agendas, checklists)

• Document meetings, capture photos/videos, and write reports

• Evaluate hygiene, production processes, and quality control

7. Weekly Reporting & Team Coordination

• Maintain an organized product development tracker

• Share weekly reports with advisor and founder

• Flag delays, issues, or needs for decision-making
