JOB DESCRIPTION

Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer who is detail-oriented and meticulous, with strong coding skills in automation tools such as Cypress for Backend testing and Katalon for Frontend testing. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and sharp analytical abilities to identify potential issues and ensure high product quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute backend automation testing scripts using Cypress.

• Create and run frontend automation tests using Katalon Studio.

• Design and document test scenarios (test plans and test cases).

• Perform regression testing, functional testing, and integration testing.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UI/UX teams to ensure features meet specifications.

• Analyze bugs/defects and provide clear and accurate reports.

• Continuously improve QA processes for greater testing efficiency and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role.

• Proficient in using Cypress for backend/API testing and Katalon Studio for frontend testing.

• Experienced with version control systems, especially Git.

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and strong in bug analysis and reporting.

• Able to work independently and within a team environment.

• Good communication skills and able to clearly explain testing outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar is a plus.
