Job Description Job Summary: This position is for JAPANESE employee basing in Jakarta, responsible for the field sales of the entire portfolio of Cognex products. This is a sales role for Japanese customers in Indonesia including end users, partners, automation machine builders (OEMs) and System Integrators (SI). The ASE will work closely with the District Sales Manager to develop account strategies and tactics. The ASE will be responsible for meeting or exceeding a defined quota at assigned or newly found accounts and expanding our base of business. The employee will embody the core values of Cognex including: Work Hard, Play Hard, and Move Fast. Additional tasks will be assigned as needed by the manager. Essential Functions: 1.Properly forecast and close vision solutions opportunities with Japanese End Users, Partners, and OEMs toreach the quota goal 2.Utilize the Cognex sales process to effectively coordinate products/solution demo to Japanese customersand winning large strategic opportunities 3.Builds Japanese customer network and follows up on sales leads and schedules customer visits, seeking outlarge opportunities 4.Effectively conducts customer visits in a solution sales environment 5.Collaborate with counterparts/sales colleagues on opportunities that are either integrated or installed in adifferent territory or where the Japanese decision makers locate. 6.Follow up on Japanese customer inquiries, understand application requirements, and differentiate theCognex solution. 7.Assists at trade shows and other marketing events for Japanese customers. 8.Coordinate technical evaluations/consultant utilizing the Applications Engineering team. 9.Maintain and continuously update project information in Sales Book. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1.Proven track record of sales performance in Indonesia manufacturing automation or similar industry.2.Uses defined sales process to deliver desired results on a consistent basis3.PC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applications4.Ability to travel 40% of the time is required5.Ability to work independently is required6.English communication capability - basic level Minimum education and work experience required: 1.Technical/Business Degree or equivalent work experience2.Proven sales experience and a good track record in Indonesia is required3.Experience in selling technical products to all levels of an organization is required4.Experience in selling vision related products is also preferred Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
