Senior Estimator

Job Responsibilities :

• Review project drawings, specifications, and related documents to understand the project scope, requirements, and objectives.

• Identify project constraints and risks that may impact costs or timelines.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor fees, and overhead costs.

• Develop unit cost breakdowns and quantity take-offs using estimation software or manual calculations.

• Provide initial budgets for project feasibility studies.

• Track and adjust estimates based on design changes, scope variations, or updated market data.

• Research and analyze market trends to determine competitive pricing for materials and services.

• Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost accuracy.

• Compile cost estimates into bid proposals, including detailed documentation and justifications.

• Assist in preparing tender documents for submission to clients or stakeholders.

• Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.

• Negotiate pricing and terms with subcontractors and vendors.

• Review all estimates for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

• Conduct risk assessments and implement contingency plans to address potential overruns.

• Maintain organized records of all cost-related documents, including quotes, contracts, and project specifications.

• Prepare regular reports on cost projections, variances, and financial impacts for management review.

• Conduct a cost analysis post-completion to compare estimates with actual project expenses.

• Identify areas for improvement in the estimation process to enhance future accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience +15 years as an estimator in building and fit-out interior construction project

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred).

• Strong mathematical and financial modeling skills.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in estimation tools/software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
