As part of our business expansion in Indonesia, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Palm Oil Trader to join our team.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Analysis & Trading Execution:
Conduct deep analysis of palm oil market fundamentals, price trends, and supply-demand changes. Develop and execute trading strategies end-to-end, including inquiries, quotations, negotiations, contracting, shipment follow-up, and trade execution.
Position and Risk Management:
Monitor trading positions and exposure, assess potential risks, and implement timely hedging or mitigation measures to ensure stable business performance.
Supplier and Client Development:
Build and expand supplier and customer networks in the palm oil value chain. Maintain strong business relationships to secure stable supply and enhance market competitiveness.
Profit Optimization:
Achieve profit targets through strategic sourcing, competitive negotiation, market intelligence, and cost control, while ensuring product quality and supply reliability.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with internal teams such as logistics, finance, operations, and risk control to ensure seamless trade execution and settlement.
Bachelor’s degree or above in International Trade, Business, Agricultural Economics, Chemical Engineering, Finance, or related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in palm oil or commodity trading (trading or sales), ideally in a large FMCG, refinery, or commodity trading firm.
Strong knowledge of the palm oil supply chain, pricing mechanisms, and market dynamics.
Fluent in English for business communication; proficiency in Mandarin will be a strong advantage.
Strong analytical skills, negotiation ability, and commercial mindset.
Self-driven, resilient, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure trading environment.
