Accounting & Costing Section Head

Oversee accounting activities, including analysing production cost (COGS) and inventory, coordinating stock-taking, ensuring the accuracy of accounting records, and month-end accounting close activities. The role maintains the general ledger, prepares for the year-end, and prepares for timely and accurate financial reporting.

Accountabilities

• Perform monthly closing activities (prepare journal entry & input manual journal in SAP).

• Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation.

• Perform release billing to customers, local & export ( including clearing AR in SAP System).

• Manage activity related to waste & disposal in the factory.

• Perform monthly costing activity for the Plant Controller.

• Support Plant Controller related factory activity (prepare reports & analysis).

• Responsible for Fixed Asset management, overseeing stock-taking, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records.

• Support to fulfill the Audit Internal and External needs for a half-year review and year-end audit

• Analyze current procedures, recommend changes for continual improvement of departmental efficiency and effectiveness.

• Maintain financial reports related to the cost of goods sold (COGS), products, and inventory.

• Provides accounting support for year-end audit and tax audit.

• Contribute to the accounting and organization mission by completing related reports and analysis as needed.

• Oversee daily cash receipts, bank account management, and cash account reconciliations.

Education Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Accounting

Experience Requirements

• Have a minimum of 3 years experience in finance, accounting, and costing in FMCG/ Retail/ Pharmaceutical.

• Have a good knowledge of accounting treatment

• Have a good understanding of accounting and tax

• Have a good command of computers (MS Excel)

• Have good English Skills, both oral and written
