Accounting Officer

Job Description
  • Manage day to day accounting activities for Review and verify incoming invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and adherence to company policies.
  • Ensure that invoices are recorded correctly with the appropriate general ledger account numbers. 
  • Responsible for managing all Services (Import and Domestic) Invoices until payment including Manpower and Contractor invoices. 
  • Responsible for correct adherence of Delegation of Authority (DOA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies & guidelines all the time. 
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices to take advantage of any early payment discounts and avoid late payment penalties 
  • Process employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation. 
  • Reconcile payment batches with bank statements. 
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all AP transactions are accurately recorded. 
  • Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger with the general ledger. 
  • Prepare reports and analysis for management review, including aging reports and outstanding liabilities. 
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all accounts payable transactions. 
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. 
  • Working collaboratively with tax, procurement, warehouse plant accounting, and other internal staff as well as liaising with banks and vendors to ensure smooth accomplishment of duties in the accounting area. 
  • Comply with all the accounting related regulations including accurate withholding of tax. 
  • Regular analysis of all vendors advances and liabilities to ensure no abnormal entries are standing in book.
Job Requirement
  • Bachelors degree in Economics or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Officer.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP), and holding Brevet A & B certifications.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Able to work independently and target-oriented.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is required
  • Preferably residing in Palembang.
