Assistant Sommelier - SKYE Jakarta

We are seeking an Assistant Sommelier to join our team at SKYE Jakarta, a five-star restaurant & lounge managed by ISMAYA GROUP. As an Assistant Sommelier, you will be responsible for assisting the Sommelier in providing exceptional food and beverage service to our guests in Central Jakarta. This role requires in-depth knowledge of wine and other alcoholic beverages, as well as the ability to provide recommendations that enhance the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Sommelier in preparing and serving wine and other alcoholic beverages in a professional and elegant manner

- Provide advice and recommendations to guests on wine and beverage pairings that complement their meals

- Ensure wine and beverage inventory is always stocked and in prime condition

- Assist with procurement, storage, and organization of wine and beverages

- Help with inventory management and sales reporting of wine and beverages

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages

- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Sommelier or similar role in a five-star restaurant or hotel

- Sommelier certification or equivalent qualification recognized

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Strong presentation skills and ability to provide accurate recommendations

- Good understanding of current industry trends and developments

- Ability to work in a team and provide exceptional customer service
