Cyber Security Engineer - L1

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Cyber Security Analyst (Level 1) to join our security operations team. You will be responsible for first-line security monitoring, incident response support, and assisting in the administration of network and security tools. This role requires a strong foundation in security operations, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within a global environment.

• Monitor and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools and endpoint security solutions (e.g., Trend Micro EDR/XDR).

• Assist in day-to-day administration of security tools including firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point), VPNs, and web security gateways.

• Perform initial triage and analysis of security incidents (P1-P3), escalating as needed to L2/L3 teams.

• Maintain and support logs, reports, and documentation for security incidents and system status.

• Assist in vulnerability scanning and patch management processes.

• Work with global teams on ticketing, change requests, and reporting related to security events.

• Support compliance activities by ensuring security controls and policies are adhered to.

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2-4 years of experience in IT security or network/system administration roles.

• Hands-on with Trend Micro security products (EDR/XDR, Email Security).

• Familiarity with firewalls, endpoint protection, and email security platforms.

• Basic understanding of threat detection, malware, DDoS, and common attack vectors.

• Exposure to Radware WAF/DDOS, sandboxing, and honeypot technologies.

• Knowledge of networking protocols and OSI model.

• Experience with ticketing systems and service desk workflows.

• Willingness to work in a shift-based environment (if required) and collaborate with international teams.

• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

• Experience in cloud security tools (Azure, AWS) is a plus.

• Industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, PCNSA, Fortinet NSE1-2, etc.)

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
