Data Analytics Technical Presales

In the role of Data Analytics Technical Presales, you will provide sales team support with specialized knowledge in data analytics solutions. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their business requirements, design data analytics-based solutions, and offer product demonstrations and Proof of Concept (PoC) to ensure the solutions offered align with customer needs.

1. Pre-sales engagement:

• Interact with customers to understand their business needs and data analytics challenges.
• Provide technical presentations and product demos to prospects.
• Develop technical proposals and solutions that meet customer needs.

2. Solution Design & Proof of Concept (PoC):

• Analyze customer requirements and design data analytics solution architecture.
• Develop and execute the PoC to prove the value of the solution.
• Provide recommendations on technologies and tools that best fit the customers use case.

3. Collaborate with sales and technical teams:

• Work closely with sales team to strategize solution offerings.
• Coordinate with engineering and product teams to ensure solution offerings can be properly implemented.
• Provide technical input to the product team regarding market needs.

4. Technical Support & Customer Engagement:

• Provide technical support during the sales process and initial implementation.
• Provide training to customers on the implemented data analytics solution.
• Maintain good customer relations and ensure customer satisfaction with the solutions provided.

Position Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or technical presales.
• Proven track record in technical sales, solution design, or technology consulting within the IT industry.
• A solid understanding of big data concepts, AI Platform, machine learning, cloud computing, and data visualization is essential, and certifications in these areas are highly desirable.
• The ideal candidate will possess the ability to draft technical proposals and present solutions to clients.
• Proficiency in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data warehousing, and data lake technologies is also essential.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both technically and business-wise, with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• The ideal candidate will also possess the ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with various departments.
• Experience in working with cloud-based solutions such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Demonstrations of technical proficiency and effective customer communication.

Required Skills

Technical:

• Data Analytics Tools: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or QlikView.
• Additionally, proficiency in Big Data Technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and Apache Kafka, is essential.
• Proficiency in database and query languages, including SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, is also essential.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS (Redshift, Athena), Azure (Synapse, Data Factory), Google Cloud (BigQuery, Dataflow).
• In terms of ETL and data integration, Talend, Informatica, and Apache NiFi are the primary tools utilized.
• In terms of programming, proficiency in Python, R, or Java for data analysis and machine learning is essential.
• AI/ML Knowledge: Basic understanding of machine learning and AI algorithms.

Non-technical:

• Presentation and Public Speaking: Demonstrates the ability to convey ideas clearly to customers.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrates the ability to analyze customer problems and offer appropriate solutions.
• Negotiation Skills: Able to provide convincing recommendations to support sales.
• Business Acumen: Demonstrates a fundamental understanding of how data analytics solutions can contribute to the success of the customers business.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Able to work with sales, marketing, and engineering teams.
