Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for software applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by users
  • Respond to support requests via phone, email, chat, or other communication channels
  • Log, track, and document support requests in the IT service management (ITSM) tool
  • Collaborate with IT Application Developers, other IT teams, and business stakeholders to diagnose and resolve complex issues, gather requirements, and identify potential improvements
  • Assist with the deployment, installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications
  • Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, quality assurance, and maintenance
  • Develop, maintain, and support software applications for the organization, ensuring adherence to established standard
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing applications to improve performance, functionality, and user experience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues and bugs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT infrastructure and helpdesk, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles, user guides, and other documentation related to application support and development
  • Train end-users on the proper use of applications and provide guidance on best practices
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in both application support and software development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in software development, preferably in a similar role or in technical/application support.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript
  • Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, ASP.NET) and software applications and related technologies, such as databases, web servers, and APIs
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems
  • Understanding of software testing and quality assurance practices, as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense of innovation and result driven
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or others, are a plus.
