IT Field Officer (Radio Communication Technician)

About the role

As the IT Field Officer at PT Merdeka Tsingshan Indonesia, youll be responsible for delivering direct technical support to users at various work sites. Ensure the IT Infrastructure and Communication is both available and reliable. Maintain the VHF Radio Equipment, Networking and General IT Infrastructure. Ensuring uninterrupted voice and data communication across our operations.

What youll be doing

• Perform installation, configuration and implementation network devices, IT communication and infrastructure.

• Perform daily network monitoring, security, reliability, availability and improve performance of network and communication devices.

• Troubleshoot and repair Radio and its related equipment. Monitor and ensure the optimal performance of Communication Systems. Coordinate frequency management and licensing in compliance with Government Regulation.

• Train staff on proper use and care of communication equipment, provide support, installation and maintain for IT Infrastructure devices i.e. Switch, Access Point, IP Phone, CCTV, MATV, Access Control, Fiber Optic, etc.

• Work at height on Communication Tower and pulling Fiber Optic and LAN Cable in wide area.

What were looking for

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelors degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Information Technology or a related Engineering major.

• At least 3 years of proven experience in VHF Radio Systems (i.e. Motorola, Hytera etc.), Installation, Configure and Maintain VHF Radio communication system and associated hardware.

• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, antennas, repeaters and propagation.

• Knowledge of ICT Network devices, IP Phone, CCTV, MATV, Fiber Optic, etc.

• Having valid certification for Radio Communication, Working at Height, Cisco is an advantage.

• Excellent teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse departments and stakeholders.
