SASE L1 Engineer

Job Summary: The SASE L1 Engineer will provide first-level operational support and monitoring for the organizations SASE infrastructure, focusing on Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access platform. This role involves monitoring, basic configuration assistance, and initial troubleshooting of network and security components to ensure seamless and secure connectivity for users.

Key Responsibilities:

• SASE Platform Support: Assist in monitoring and basic configuration of Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access to deliver secure access services.  
• Monitoring and Incident Escalation: Continuously monitor the SASE environment for performance and security issues, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate to L2/L3 teams as necessary.  
• Policy Support: Provide support in implementing and maintaining security policies within the SASE framework.  
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and network teams to report issues, support integration, and assist in maintaining the SASE infrastructure.  
• Documentation: Maintain logs and documentation of SASE configurations, policies, and incidents.  
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on SASE features, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methods to improve support capabilities.  

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).  
• Certifications: Entry-level or relevant certifications such as PCCSA (Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate) are desirable.  
• Technical Skills:  
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, security architectures, and access control mechanisms.  
  • Familiarity with SASE platforms and security policy management.  
  • Exposure to monitoring and troubleshooting tools for network and security infrastructure.  
• Soft Skills:  
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.  
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and security.  
• Experience:  
  • 1-3 years of experience in network/security support or engineering.  
  • Exposure to Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access or other SASE solutions is a plus.
