L2 Network Security Engineer (SOC Engineer Shifting - Onsite) for Integra

Requirements:

1.     Hold a Bachelors degree in an IT-related field.

2.      Have at least 4 years of experience in IT security

3.      Possess knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies.

4.     Have basic system administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques.

5.     Be willing and able to work shifts (3 shift) and overtime as needed.

6.     Have good communication skills in dealing with customers, users, and third parties.

7.     Be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

8.     Have in-depth knowledge of network security (firewall concepts, web application firewall, proxy).

9.     Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in managing and operating at least one of the following:

• Firewall: Palo Alto or Fortigate or equivalent

• Web Application Firewall (WAF): Imperva, F5, or equivalent

• Intrusion Prevention System (IPS): Suricata, Snort, McAfee, or equivalent.

Job Descriptions:

1. Identify managed security systems/devices and their existing configuration conditions.

2. Ensure that the operating system of each managed device is at least N-1 from the latest major version.

3. Actively update the latest Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) that affect the running software version.

4. Analyze change requests to compliance with security baselines such as firewalls, WAFs, and IPS.

5. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in troubleshooting and recovery of escalated incidents by Layer 1 engineers.

6. Perform in-depth troubleshooting for complicated issues that require coordination with the principal.

7. Attend meetings with other support teams for discussion and troubleshooting issues.

8. Provide guidance to Layer 1 engineers and recommendations to operational managers.

9. The scope of Layer 2 includes all systems monitored by operations.

10. Develop daily Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for managed security devices.
