Mandarin Translator

This position is for one of our clients, a Global-spanning Contractor Providing Company, located in Palembang. We are seeking for a skilled Translator fluent in both Mandarin and English to join one of clients company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating a variety of documents, and interpreting conversations. This role requires a high level of language proficiency, cultural understanding, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translating from Mandarin to Indonesian and from Indonesian to Mandarin;

• Ensure translations maintain the original meaning, format, and tone of the source material;

• Proofread and edit translations to ensure grammatical accuracy and adherence to style guidelines;

• Maintain a glossary of terminology used in translations to ensure consistency;

• Provide cultural context and advice to enhance the quality of translations.

Requirements:

• A degree in Linguistics, Chinese Language, or a related field. Relevant certifications in translation are a plus (HSK for example);

• Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience;

• Great fluency in both Mandarin and English;

• Strong proofreading and editing skills, with an excellent command of grammar, syntax, and idiomatic expressions;

• Deep understanding of cultural differences and the ability to adapt translations accordingly;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese-Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia;

• Willingness to work at Palembang area.
