Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs:
Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on the tugboat's engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and other equipment on operational site or shipyard
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Ensure that all equipment is in safe working condition.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all maritime safety regulations and standards.
Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols.
Conduct safety drills and training for crew members.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and optimize the performance of the tugboat's engines and systems.
Identify and implement improvements to fuel efficiency and operational efficiency.
Breakdown/Emergency Response:
Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as engine failures, equipment malfunctions, or environmental incidents.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Prepare reports and documentation as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Educational Background, a degree in Marine Engineer Officer minimum Class III (ATT III), Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture
2. Experience Seafarer as Engineer Officer minimum 3 Years as 2nd Engineer, Chief Engineer
3. Extensive experience in marine engineering particularly in vessel maintenance and operations as Port Engineer / Vessel Support / Jr. Superintendent minimum 2 Years
4. Technical Skills, strong knowledge of vessel systems, including propulsion, electrical, and mechanical systems
5. Regulatory Knowledge marine Industry regulations and standards, such as SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code, Classification, Statutory
6. Soft Skills, strong leadership, organizational, and effective communication skills
7. Excellent problem-solving of Marine Engineering
