Procurement Supervisor - Mining

You will be responsible to oversee and manage procurement of spare parts and other goods for mining operations. The Procurement Supervisor ensures timely sourcing, cost-effective purchasing, and supplier relationship management to support continuous site operations.

Description

• Lead and supervise day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring alignment with company policies and project requirements
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers of spare parts, particularly for Chinese mining equipment brands
• Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database (local and overseas), including OEMs, authorized distributors, and alternative suppliers
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of spare parts to optimize cost and ensure supply stability
• Coordinate with maintenance, warehouse, and operations teams to identify spare part requirements and ensure timely delivery
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements, ensuring compliance with procurement standards
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations, focusing on quality, lead time, after-sales service, and warranty support
• Oversee logistics and customs clearance processes for imported spare parts
• Mentor and guide junior procurement staff to strengthen the teams technical and commercial capabilities
• Prepare regular procurement reports, cost analyses, and savings initiatives for management review

Profile

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of procurement experience in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
• Strong knowledge of mining equipment spare parts, particularly Chinese brands
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
• Familiarity with import regulations, Incoterms, and customs clearance
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
