About The Role

We are seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Purchasing Associate to join our team. As a Purchasing Associate, your role will be critical in sourcing high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that our companys procurement processes are efficient and cost-effective. Your ability to build strong relationships with vendors and manage the supply chain will help us meet project deadlines and maintain the quality of our construction projects. By maintaining a proactive approach to sourcing, you will contribute to our overall success and ensure that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Job Responsibilities
  • Source and identify high-quality materials and suppliers for various construction projects.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable contract agreements.
  • Develop and manage a strong network of reliable suppliers, maintaining relationships to ensure consistent delivery of materials.
  • Collaborate with the project and site teams to understand material requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct supplier performance evaluations to maintain the highest quality standards.
  • Manage contracts, procurement agreements, and purchase orders to ensure they align with project specifications and budget constraints.
  • Work with the finance team to manage payment terms and ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment to suppliers.
  • Continuously look for ways to optimize the procurement process, reduce costs, and improve efficiency in material sourcing.
  • Ensure all sourced materials comply with quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of contract management.
  • Familiarity with construction materials and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in managing contracts and material specifications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
