POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of raw materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and quality sourcing to support production schedules and business goals.

POSITION DUTIES

1.    Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with production needs.

2.    Source and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods.

3.    Monitor market trends and adjust procurement plans accordingly.

4.    Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.

5.    Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

6.    Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews.

7.    Collaborate with inventory and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

8.    Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

9.    Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.

10. Work closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams.

11. Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies, or invoice mismatches.

12. Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier contracts.

13. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

14. Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.

15. Support sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives.

16. Ensure the internal people practice in line with compliance requirements, ensure on time and accurate delivery.

17. To work closely with planning department to monitor RM inventory based on RMRP and S5 Report to ensure RM stock are under control and within budget

18. To pass the customer and the third-party audit successfully

19. Manage a Purchasing team, monitor the department employee relations internally and make sure everyone in department can bring into play better for themselves

20. New supplier development and ensure we must back up suppliers for any urgency.

21. Any other jobs or duties as directly by senior management and/or are required to make factory operation more effective and efficient.

22. Implement Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Policies
