About the role
We are now looking for an outstanding Purchasing Officer to join our team. You must be fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesian with proven experience in purchasing.

Safeguarding

Qualifications/Training
Degree in business administration, management, finance or related field preferred.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills
3-5 years of relevant experience in purchasing
Solid knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes, policy and systems.
Proficient user of Microsoft 365 and of accounting software

KEY RESULT AREA Engagement and Interaction
Communicate promptly and politely with parents, staff and suppliers/vendors.
Follow up with suppliers/vendors to ensure goods or services are delivered on time.
Keep parents and staff updated on the status of orders.
Purchasing
Ensure orders are efficiently received, approved and processed using the schools purchasing platform
Identify reliable suppliers/vendors and conduct regular reviews of existing and potential suppliers/vendors.
Obtain quotes (where appropriate), and source goods or services within budget and with due consideration given to quality.
Establish preferential agreements with suppliers/vendors.
Check that delivery of goods or services matches the orders.
Management of Resources
Ensure rooms and cupboards where resources are stored are well-organised and tidy.
Monitor stock levels and report needs to senior leaders in a timely fashion.
Manage the relationship with the schools uniform supplier including communications, online ordering systems, stock and distribution of the schools uniform.
Maintain the schools Fixed Asset register.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS — Skills Knowledge and Experience
Good organizational skills in terms of document preparation, contract administration and filing systems
Good computer skills and proficiency in using MS Office, especially MS Excel.
Ability to collate, analyse and interpret statistical information
Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with parents and staff.
Good level of English for both verbal and written communication.

Must hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure or equivalent for countries lived in outside of the UK.
