Research Assistant for Healthcare and Social Welfare
Under the direct supervision of senior staff, the successful candidate will perform a wide range of research-related tasks, particularly—but not limited to—the following:

Managing various financial documents, such as gathering cost estimates, drafting contracts, submitting invoices, making payments, preparing and processing reimbursement requests, etc.

Supporting event organisation, including contracting service providers, arranging meetings/conferences (both online and in-person), sending invitations, etc.

Organising travel, visa, and accommodation arrangements; occasionally travelling with team members to take notes at meetings or to provide logistical assistance during business trips (e.g. assisting with presentations, liaising with vendors, processing payments, etc.).

Arranging weekly team meetings and other meetings by creating online links or reserving the office conference room.

Booking the office vehicle when team members require it for official purposes.

Gathering relevant information as requested, through online research or by contacting appropriate sources via email or telephone.

Organising and maintaining documents, images, and files.

Supporting outreach efforts, such as sending emails, enquiries, invitations, and announcements to research counterparts, partners, and networks.

Attending meetings and taking notes and photographs.

Screening phone calls, emails, and general enquiries or requests, and handling them appropriately.

Maintaining office systems, including data and contact management and filing systems.

Welcoming and assisting visitors at all levels of seniority.

Collaborating closely with team members and providing administrative support where required.

Performing any other clerical, administrative, or research-related duties as assigned and supervised by the Executive staff.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
-
A university degree in social or health sciences, or any relevant field, with a strong academic record.

A solid understanding of administrative work and detail-oriented financial planning and execution.
Key Competencies
-
Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
-
An interest in healthcare and social welfare issues is preferred.
-
Proficiency in drafting business correspondence, documents, and emails in professional English.

Experience in handling multiple tasks with different timelines and priorities, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Willingness to accept guidance from senior team members and provide timely progress updates.
-
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, initiative, persistence, and a positive attitude.
-
Ability to work independently while understanding when supervisory authorisation is required.
-
Ability to coordinate and cooperate effectively with other ERIA staff members.
-
Prior secretarial experience is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of layout and design for invitations and announcements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office-based tools.

Capability to support the organisation of high-level events.
-
Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
