Restaurant General Manager

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Management:

·        Oversee all daily operations, ensuring a welcoming and positive atmosphere for guests and staff. 

·        Develop and implement company policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 

·        Ensure the facility is maintained, clean, and safe, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation standards. 

Team Leadership:

·        Hire, train, onboard, and manage restaurant staff, providing clear expectations and ongoing coaching. 

·        Create staff schedules that balance labor costs with operational needs. 

·        Motivate and lead the team to achieve high standards of performance and service. 

Financial & Inventory Control:

·        Manage budgets, control costs, and minimize waste to meet financial objectives. 

·        Oversee inventory, manage supplies, and process vendor invoices. 

·        Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to improve productivity and profitability. 

Customer Satisfaction & Sales:

·        Deliver a superior guest experience by ensuring quality food and beverage service. 

·        Analyze customer feedback and resolve complaints to ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty. 

·        Develop and implement marketing and community outreach programs to attract new patrons and increase sales. 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

·        Proven restaurant management experience.

·        Strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills.

·        Ability to manage time effectively and remain calm under pressure.

·        Knowledge of business management, financial controls, and restaurant management software.

·        Certifications in food handling, safety, and possibly hospitality management are often preferred.
