Finance Officer

SMS Indonesia is a marketing agency headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, and has been operating in 17 countries. We support various marketing activities for well-known brands, particularly from FMCG companies.

We are currently in need of additional workforce support for a short period (1-2 months), specifically within our Finance, Accounting, and Tax teams. We are looking for candidates who are ready to fill this position immediately, with a solid understanding and best practices in finance, accounting, and taxation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in finance, accounting, or related fields (internship experience is also welcome).

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Management, or related fields (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).

• Solid knowledge of financial statements and accounting processes.

• Experience with Excel, Accounting, and Tax systems (skills in functions and pivot tables are a plus).

• Having Tax certification (Brevet) is a plus points.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills to coordinate effectively both internally and externally.

• Good English skills.

• Strong multitasking and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Flexible and adaptable to changes, with strong teamwork abilities.

Job Descriptions:

• Manage bank transactions and fund transfers, including vendor payments and intercompany transfers.

• Maintain accurate and proper financial documentation.

• Support monthly closing, budget vs. actual management, and cash flow management.

• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.

• Monitor accounts receivable.

• Respond flexibly and accurately to unexpected issues as they arise.

• Prepare and review tax calculation reports (VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax) and ensure timely submission.

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and stay updated on changes in financial/tax legislation.

• Coordinate with external partners regarding taxation, legal, and audit matters.
