The Role

As our Senior Architect, youll own the creative vision for every project — from the first sketch to the final handover. Youll collaborate with our construction, interiors, and sustainability teams to design spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.

Youll guide the design process from concept through completion, collaborating with our construction, interiors, and sustainability teams to ensure every detail is executed to the highest standard. This role requires both creative leadership and practical execution skills, along with a deep appreciation for Balinese culture and modern design.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership

• Lead the architectural design process for all Akura Villas projects — from concept design to construction drawings.

• Ensure all designs align with Akuras brand, vision, and sustainability principles.

• Create spaces that balance beauty, function, comfort, and long-term durability.

• Bring innovation to our projects while respecting local cultural and environmentalcontext.

Project Oversight

• Oversee architectural deliverables and ensure deadlines are met.

• Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction teams, and Interior Designers to ensuredesign intent is maintained throughout the build.

• Review and approve drawings, specifications, and design changes.

• Provide technical guidance and creative solutions to design challenges.

Collaboration & Team Development

• Work closely with sustainability and impact teams to integrate eco-conscious solutions.

• Mentor junior architects and designers, fostering creativity and skill development.

• Coordinate with external consultants, engineers, and regulatory bodies for approvals andcompliance.

Brand & Vision Alignment

• Uphold Akuras architectural identity across all projects.

• Propose new design concepts, materials, and techniques that elevate our offering.

• Act as a design ambassador for Akura Villas in meetings, presentations, and mediaopportunities.

What You Bring

• Experience: 7+ years in architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior role.

• Portfolio: Demonstrated experience in high-end residential, hospitality, or mixed-useprojects.

• Skills: Strong concept design, technical drawing, and project delivery capabilities.

• Knowledge: Deep understanding of tropical architecture, sustainable design, andEuropean-quality standards.

• Leadership: Ability to inspire and guide both creative and technical teams.

• Communication: Strong presentation skills and ability to work with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

• Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit (or similar), and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Passion: Commitment to creating spaces that elevate Balis built environment andrespect its cultural heritage.
