Senior Linux System Engineer

Job Descriptions:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-availability Linux infrastructure

• Define system standards and best practices

• Oversee configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)

• Manage services like DNS, NFS, LDAP, Samba, LVM, etc.

• Lead capacity planning and system performance tunin

• Implement monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)

• Enforce OS-level security, hardening, and patching

• Ensure compliance with standards like ISO27001, CIS, or internal policies

• Automate repetitive tasks with Bash, Python, or Ansible

• Create self-healing and self-monitoring systems

• Serve as Tier-3 escalation point

• Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for critical incidents

• Lead OS-level projects (e.g., data center migrations, upgrades, disaster recovery drills)

• Provide mentoring to junior engineers

• Support Linux deployments on virtual, on-premise, and cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Integrate with CI/CD pipelines and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Maintain comprehensive system documentation

• Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions

Job Requirements:

• Having a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Linux System Engineer

• Have good interpersonal and communication skill with internal and external party

• Have good English communication skill (good TOEFL preferred)

• Have ability to work in multiple countries and overseas IT Infrastructure Data Center platform project
