Sr. Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at PT Mitra Karya Sarana. As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for our clients. This is a full-time position based in Batam, Riau Islands, offering opportunities for growth and professional development.

What youll be doing

• Responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and components

• Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness

• Collaborate with cross functional teams, including project managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing personnel, to deliver end to end solutions

• Conduct research, gather data, and perform detailed analyses to support decision making and drive continuous improvement

• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians

• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of mechanical engineering

What were looking for

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related.

• Minimum 3 years in mechanical engineering within Fabrication (EPC, upstream/downstream, or related sectors).

• Advanced skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and familiarity with API, ASME, and related standards. Skilled in creating parts, multi-component assemblies, and dimensioned drawings to company standards.

• Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information.

• Able to communicate in English is a MUST.
