SUPERVISOR PAINTING

Job Description:

Supervisor Painting is responsible supervise in the day-to-day activities associated with a variety of painting activities for interior and exterior of Building (Office, Camp, Housing, Workshop and Warehouse)

Key Responsibilities:

• Reports all accidents and incidents in the work group to enable management to identify areas for improvement in work practices.

• Communicates work group status to supervisor and interfaces with other departments.

• Supervise employees of the unit/work group to ensure that all jobs are completed to the required standard.

• Plan the daily work schedule and order materials and parts required to enable client needs to be met and resources used efficiently.

• Possess the ability to visually recognize and identify different colors

• Paint the wall, floor and roof with different water based and solvent based paints in accordance with released data.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, engineering orders, and work instructions.

• Liaise with and coordinate field and workshop activities with other maintenance supervisor, planners and production personnel to resolve problems and set maintenance priorities.

• Schedules work orders, preventive maintenance, equipment, employee vacations and training.

• Identify training needs and recommend on the job training or basic training programs to improve work group effectiveness and safety.

• Check and inspect the painting results of business partners and maintenance operation provide feedback to correct the painting result does not comply standard

• Address complex non-conformance issues, give instructions to business partner and maintenance operation implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Technical school or experience working in a Painting facility or a related field preferred.

• Have minimum 5 years experiences in a supervisory position in the mining industry, or an equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary

• Have a license or certified for working at Heigh, scaffolding and POP

• Have a paint license or certification

• Possess the ability to visually recognize and identify different colors

• Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.

• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Good organizational, Leadership and management qualities skills.

• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
