Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehousing, inventory control, inbound and outbound distribution for export operations of frozen food. This role ensures efficient, compliant, and cost-effective logistics and warehousing processes to meet international customer demands while maintaining high service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, packing, and dispatch.

• Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits.

• Implement and uphold warehouse safety procedures and compliance with local and international regulations.

• Optimize warehouse layout and storage to enhance space utilization and operational efficiency.

Export & Distribution Operations

• Plan and coordinate international shipments, ensuring documentation accuracy and export compliance

• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

• Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery to global markets.

Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff and logistics coordinators.

• Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement & Reporting

• Analyze logistics KPIs and warehouse performance data to identify areas for improvement.

• Lead initiatives to reduce costs, enhance service levels, and improve order accuracy and cycle time.

• Prepare regular reports on inventory status, shipment performance, and logistics costs.

Key Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in warehouse and distribution operations, with at least 3 years in an export environment.

• Experience in consumer goods or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of international shipping and export compliance.

• Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP platforms

• Solid understanding of warehouse best practices, including Lean, 5S, and safety protocols.

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills across multiple levels and cultures.

Working Conditions:

• Based in a warehouse and office environment.

• May require occasional travel to port facilities, 3PL providers & co-manufacturing partners

• Flexible hours may be needed to support international time zones and shipping schedules.
