DevSecOps

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable deployment across multiple environments.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring consistent environment provisioning.
• Optimize build and deployment workflows, reducing time to production and minimizing downtime.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration of services using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Lead the monitoring and alerting strategy using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and EKS (Kubernetes), including orchestration and rollout strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed operational excellence into application architecture and deployments.
• Own incident response processes, post-mortems, and drive improvements to system reliability and performance.
• Manage cost efficiency, right-sizing of infrastructure, and usage optimization across AWS services.
• Guide the adoption of GitOps, trunk-based development, and automated testing in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Conduct performance tuning, system hardening, and infrastructure audits to ensure production-readiness.
• Document infrastructure decisions, playbooks, and troubleshooting guides for team enablement.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide thought leadership on DevOps practices and tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Deep experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, EKS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Skilled in Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) orchestration and lifecycle management.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go) to automate infrastructure and operations tasks.
• Solid understanding of Linux system administration, networking, and security hardening.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability practices.
• Strong Git workflow knowledge and experience managing large-scale infrastructure codebases.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues quickly and systematically.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional).
• Experience implementing GitOps with ArgoCD or Flux.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and serverless stacks.
• Understanding of security compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.).
• Experience integrating automated testing and security scans into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cost forecasting and optimization tools like AWS Cost Explorer or CloudHealth.
