English Teacher

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced classroom teachers for an English Teacher position.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for engaging and challenging students and for utilising learning technologies in the classroom.

Job Description

• Deliver learning programs to students ranging from 4-15 years old, demonstrating a research-based knowledge of how students learn.
• Provide quality academic coaching in a small-group classroom (i.e. not online) setting, according to Eye Level philosophy, methods, curriculum and individual progress plan.
• Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform regular planning session with Centre Director, including grading and maintaining progress report for each student.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents and other staff members.
• Perform administrative activities where necessary.
• Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture, including motivating and encouraging students. 
• Model and live the Eye Level values and behaviours.

Skills and Experience   

• Minimum S1 in Education, English
• Fluent in both written and oral English.
• Comfortable with teaching children and teenagers.
• Connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning.
• Demonstrate commitment to professional development.
• Have a minimum 1 year of teaching experience
