Fullstack Developer

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs using Ruby (including unit-test).
2. Build and maintain web frontend using Polymer and Rails views.
3. Create and manage Open APIs for external partner integrations.
4. Integrate with third-party services such as payment gateways and logistics providers.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, design, product, QA).
6. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and mentoring junior engineers.
7. Apply best practices in test, security, performance, and maintainability.

Were looking for a Fullstack Developer to own the backend and web frontend of our platform, built using Ruby and Polymer. Youll be responsible for building scalable systems, designing APIs and web interfaces, and integrating with third-party platforms. Mobile development is handled by a separate team, and infrastructure/deployments are managed by DevOps.

Were looking for someone who thrives on challenges, someone who can work effectively with our current Ruby-based stack but is also open to exploring and adopting technologies like Node.js or Go for future improvements and new services.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Alodokters Headquarter office in Jakarta.

Requirements:

1. Proficiency in Ruby (for API and backend logic), including unit-test.
2. Experience with Ruby and Polymer or modern frontend web components like NextJS.
3. Strong knowledge of MongoDB, Redis, and query optimization.
4. Experience integrating with third-party APIs.
5. Experience providing and documenting Open APIs.
6. Familiar with software architecture and system design planning.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
8. Experience build event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, etc).
9. Prior experience in a healthtech company or healthcare-related platform is preferred.

Bonus Points

• Experience build API services with Node.js(Javascript) or Golang.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform, Docker, or Kubernetes (even if not responsible for deployment).
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines and frontend testing.
