Homestay Assistant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a friendly and well-organized individual join our team as a Homestay Assistant. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of two homestays (7 rooms each, within walking distance of each other), ensuring smooth guest experiences, staff coordination, and basic accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest & Reservation Management

• Welcome guests with a warm and hospitable approach.

• Handle check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries alongside the housekeeping team.

• Manage reservations via email, phone, and online platforms.

• Address guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly.

• Maintain the homestays Instagram page with two engaging posts per week showcasing the property and guest experiences.

Staff Supervision & Coordination

• Lead and coordinate housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Maintain high-quality standards for cleanliness and guest comfort.

• Train and guide new employees in hospitality best practices.

• Conduct weekly team meetings to review operations and address any concerns.

• Ensure the homestay is well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Basic Accounting & Administration

• Track daily expenses, revenue, and petty cash.

• Prepare simple financial reports and ensure timely payments.

• Manage invoices and process guest payments.

• Maintain accurate records of bookings and occupancy rates.

Requirements:

• Willingness to Learn.

• Friendly and welcoming personality.

• Organized with strong attention to detail.

• Experience in hospitality, administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of accounting

• Familiarity with booking platforms, such as Airbnb and Booking.com, is a plus.

• Ability to manage and motivate a small team.
