Position Overview
The Human Resources Intern is responsible for supporting the HR team in delivering exceptional employee services while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. This role involves learning and assisting with various HR functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, training, and administrative tasks. The intern will receive hands-on training and collaborate closely with different departments, including direct interaction with leadership teams and stakeholders.
The Role
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding processes for new employees and interns.
- Employee Engagement: Support in organizing staff activities, events, and wellness programs to foster a positive work culture.
- Training & Development: Assist in coordinating training sessions, tracking employee development programs, and maintaining training records.
- HR Administration: Help manage employee records, update databases, and process HR-related paperwork with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Payroll & Benefits Support: Assist in preparing payroll-related documents and ensuring employee benefits are well communicated.
- Compliance & Policies: Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed and assist in preparing necessary reports or documentation.
- Internal Communication: Support HR in drafting announcements, memos, and updates for employees.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with all hotel departments to address HR-related needs and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Confidentiality & Professionalism: Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information and uphold ethical HR practices.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Be open to assisting in different HR functions and learning various aspects of human resources management.
Talent Profile:
- An active student that enrolled in a college or university preferably in Hotel/Hospitality Management, Psychology or Law program
- Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating strong guest relations
- Very good command in spoken and written English, additional languages will be an advantage
- Great attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Possess a great communication skill
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all time
- Flexible regarding work schedules
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Frequent lifting carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders and stairs
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as a part of the team with minimum supervision
