Purchasing Officer

Job Description

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented professional with a strategic mindset and strong negotiation skills. The perfect candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and communicates effectively with suppliers and internal teams. They are highly analytical, capable of making data-driven purchasing decisions, and proactive in optimising procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, source and procure various goods and services from reliable suppliers.

• Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring reliable and consistent supply chains.

• Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate records of all transactions.

• Monitor inventory levels and procure items in a timely manner to ensure seamless operations.

• Coordinate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs and specifications.

• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery time, and service.

• Stay updated on market trends to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations during the procurement process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the hospitality sector.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to analyse data and make informed purchasing decisions.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
