Manager - Internal Auditor

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement an annual audit plan covering operational, financial, and compliance audits within the property portfolio.

• Lead and manage audit teams during fieldwork across various real estate operations such as development, leasing, construction, property management, and acquisitions.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.

• Identify control gaps, business risks, and operational inefficiencies; provide recommendations for improvement.

• Review large-scale projects (e.g., CAPEX-intensive construction projects) for compliance with budgets, timelines, and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective action plans.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.

• Assist in fraud investigations or special audits as required.

• Stay updated with industry trends, property regulations, and internal audit standards (e.g., IIA).

• Maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure business process alignment with strategic objectives.

Requirements :

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Chartered Accountant, Fraud Investigation certified is preferable

• Minimum 10 years of internal audit experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.

• Previous experience in the property/real estate or construction sector is highly preferred.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

• Strategic thinking and risk awareness

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to speak fluent English is a must
