About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Section Head to join our team. As the Procurement Section Head, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the procurement processes for our residential property development projects. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work directly with our senior management team and contribute to the overall success of our growing organisation.

Jobdesc:

  • Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to support our residential property development projects

  • Overseeing the procurement of materials, services and equipment required for construction and related activities

  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure the best possible terms and conditions for the company

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and regulations related to procurement

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with overall project goals and timelines

  • Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency

  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the procurement team, including training and development

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management role, preferably within the real estate or construction industry

  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management

  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

  • Proficient in the use of procurement software and data analysis tools

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements within a procurement function

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as supply chain management, business, or engineering
