Senior MEP Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior MEP Engineer oversees and coordinates construction activities at the worksite, ensuring that MEP tasks are completed on schedule, safely, and to the highest quality standards according to MEP drawings. This role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and working across varied weather conditions. Strong skills in team management and decision-making are essential, along with maintaining positive stakeholder relationships to facilitate smooth project progress. Appropriate safety equipment is required for on-site work.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with various stakeholders on-site to ensure alignment of work efforts.
• Enforce all safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment.
• Inspect MEP construction tasks to ensure adherence to all requirements and regulations.
• Review MEP raw materials delivered on-site, verifying that they meet specified standards.
• Procure construction materials promptly to avoid delays due to material shortages.
• Supervise and guide work teams to ensure tasks are executed safely and on time.
• Work in collaboration with the management of Karma Development and MEP consultants.
• Develop precise and thorough MEP drawings in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Review and adjust MEP drawings as needed, incorporating design changes and enhancements.
• Analyze and respond to all RFIs issued by the main contractor.
• Maintain detailed documentation, ensuring an organized repository of CAD files.
• Work closely with project teams and external contractors to enable smooth project execution.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new developments in CAD software.
• Ensure MEP products and supplies meet quality standards.
• Maintain and update a supplier list, including their qualifications, delivery timelines, and future potentials.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent.
• Fluency in English.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in drafting.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP engineer.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp (2D and 3D), and basic administrative software (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel).
• Experience in the hospitality building will be preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively.
• Ability to collaborate well with management and team members at all levels.
• Goal-oriented, organized team player.
• Holds a valid certificate of expertise in the relevant field.
