Senior Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing and procuring goods, services, and materials needed for the organization in a cost-effective and timely manner. The role involves vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards.

2. Procurement Planning:

  • Analyze the companys needs for goods and services.

  • Develop procurement strategies to meet the companys operational goals.

3. Order Management:

  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely approval and submission.

  • Track the delivery of goods and services to ensure timely receipt.

4. Cost Management:

  • Monitor market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Conduct regular cost analysis and ensure budget adherence.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and legal regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.

6. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams to determine purchasing needs and specifications.

  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.

7. Quality Assurance:

  • Assess and monitor the quality of goods and services procured.

  • Implement corrective actions when suppliers fail to meet quality standards.

Requirements

· Education:  Successful completion of Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.

· Experience:  Minimum five (5) years of recent and related procurement experience.

· Knowledge of markets and Supply Chain Management best practices and trends.

· Ability to develop sourcing plan and perform procurement of a complex nature that requires knowledge and Indonesian regulation

· Strong working knowledge of procurement procedures and practices.  

· Knowledge of materials resource planning and forecasting would be an asset.

· Sound analytical, organization, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to;

  • communicate effectively with internal clients and suppliers.

  • prepare/revise quotation requests and addenda; and, 

  • negotiate effectively with vendors.

· Knowledge of invoicing and basic accounting practices and terminology.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment in a courteous, professional manner.

· Basic knowledge of computer systems operations, environment and peripherals.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office
