Software Quality Assurance

About the role

Were looking for a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team at PT Fajar Mulia Transindo, based in Surabaya, East Java. This full-time role is vital in ensuring the performance, reliability, and accuracy of our software products. Youll collaborate with various business units, gaining valuable insights into different operational areas while ensuring our software meets real-world needs.

What youll be doing

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans to identify and resolve software defects

• Collaborate closely with developers and business units to validate features, identify edge cases, and clarify requirements

• Maintain detailed documentation of test results, bugs, and technical issues

• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance user experience and system performance

• Conduct daily coordination meetings with developers to review progress, align on priorities, and address issues.

What were looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in software development / software testing

• Proficient in manual and automated testing techniques, including the use of testing frameworks and tools

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and diagnose software issues

• Understanding of software development principles including OOP, MVC, multithreading, and security best practices

• Basic familiarity with version control (Git) and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.)

• Knowledge of accounting or business systems is a plus

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Solid understanding of basic to complex database systems and proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
