Talent Management and People Development Manager
The Talent Management and People Development Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for strategically integrating talent management and people development initiatives to cultivate a high-performing, engaged, and future-ready workforce. This role will lead the design, implementation, and management of programs and strategies across the employee lifecycle, focusing on attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining top talent while fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Integrated Talent Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute a unified talent management and people development strategy aligned with the organizations strategic goals and objectives.
Conduct comprehensive workforce planning and analysis to identify current and future talent needs, skill gaps, and development opportunities.
Research and implement best practices and innovative approaches in both talent management and people development.
Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on effective performance management, feedback delivery, and the creation of individual development plans (IDPs).
Facilitate performance calibration sessions to ensure fair and consistent evaluations and the identification of development priorities.
Comprehensive Learning & Development Programs:
Assess organizational and individual learning and development needs to design and deliver impactful programs that enhance skills, knowledge, and competencies.
Oversee the creation and delivery (or sourcing) of a diverse range of learning solutions, including technical training, soft skills development, leadership programs, and on-the-job learning opportunities.
Implement and manage mentoring, coaching, and internal mobility programs to support employee growth and career progression.
Evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives and ensure alignment with business needs.
Succession Planning & Talent Pipeline Development:
Lead the development and implementation of robust succession planning processes to identify and prepare high-potential employees for future leadership and critical roles.
Facilitate talent review meetings to assess talent pipelines, identify development needs for successors, and create targeted development plans.
Integrate succession planning with learning and development initiatives to ensure a continuous pipeline of skilled talent.
Employee Engagement
Oversee employee engagement surveys and feedback mechanisms, analyzing results to identify opportunities for improvement and development initiatives.
Design and implement programs that promote employee growth, career exploration, and internal opportunities.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with HR colleagues, business leaders, and employees at all levels.
Communicate talent management and people development strategies, programs, and progress clearly and effectively.
Partner with HR Business Partners to understand specific business unit needs and tailor talent and development solutions accordingly.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field is essential.
Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, HR Development, Organizational Development) is highly preferred.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACAC, CHRP, etc.) are a strong advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with a significant focus on both talent management and people development.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing integrated talent management and development programs across the employee lifecycle.
Demonstrated experience in leading strategic talent initiatives and driving a culture of learning and growth.
Experience working with HRIS and talent management/learning management systems.
Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role with responsibility for developing and executing talent and development strategies.
