What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role:
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls across organizational functions and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Identify significant risks and advise management on risk mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate organizational compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and industry standards.
- Support direct supervisor in preparing and delivering clear, comprehensive, and objective audit reports.
- Report audit findings and recommendations promptly, and monitor management’s implementation of recommendations.
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders regarding audit results and follow-up actions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in internal audit processes.
- Drive innovation by implementing new technologies and audit methodologies to improve audit quality.
- Develop and update internal audit policies and procedures in line with organizational needs and regulatory changes.
- Align internal audit strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide strategic input and advice on key issues identified during the audit process.
- Carry out other assignments as directed.
What Is Required and What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in IT internal audit.
- Proven experience and knowledge in banking technology audits.
- Strong understanding of GRC principles (Governance, Risk & Control).
- Professional certifications in auditing (international or national) are highly preferred.
- Uphold the internal audit code of ethics: integrity, independence, and objectivity.
- Excellent skills in critical thinking, problem solving, communication (verbal and written), and data analysis.
- Proficiency in audit tools and relevant software applications.
