High-Value Logistics Business Development Executive (BDE) Job Description

 A High-Value Logistics Business Development Executive (BDE) has specific responsibility for developing business in the high-value freight segment. This position requires expertise in building relationships with premium clients and offering secure, reliable, and customized logistics solutions for items such as luxury goods, valuable electronics, works of art, or important documents.

 Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and target potential clients in high-end industries, such as jewelry manufacturers, art galleries, technology companies, or banks.

  2. Establish and build relationships with decision-makers at these companies.

  3. Present logistics solutions that offer extra security, insurance, and punctuality for the delivery of valuable goods.

  4. Analyze the specific needs of each high-value client, including special packaging, security, and licensing requirements.

  5. Design and offer customized logistics solutions to meet high security and reliability standards.

  6. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure the entire shipping process, from pickup to delivery, is carried out with strict security protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry that focuses on high-value goods.

  • In-depth understanding of security standards and protocols for shipping valuable goods.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to build relationships at a professional level.

  • Extensive network in related industries, such as insurance, finance, or luxury retail.

  • Goal-oriented and able to work independently with a high level of initiative.
