Key Responsibilities
1. ELV Systems Operations & Maintenance
Operate and maintain all ELV systems within the Data Center environment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to approved schedules.
Conduct routine inspections, testing, and system health checks.
Ensure all ELV systems operate efficiently and meet availability targets.
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
2. Security Systems Management
Manage and maintain:
CCTV Surveillance Systems
Access Control Systems
Visitor Management Systems
Biometric Authentication Systems
Intrusion Detection Systems
Ensure physical security systems comply with Data Center security standards and policies.
Investigate security system alarms and incidents.
3. Fire Detection & Life Safety Systems
Operate and monitor Fire Alarm Systems (FAS).
Monitor and maintain Gas Suppression Systems (FM200, Novec 1230, etc.).
Conduct routine testing and inspections of fire protection systems.
Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders during maintenance and emergency situations.
Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
4. Building Management System (BMS) & DCIM Monitoring
Monitor Building Management System (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms.
Analyze alarms, events, and system trends.
Ensure proper integration between ELV systems and facility infrastructure.
Support reporting and system optimization activities.
5. Structured Cabling & Network Infrastructure Support
Manage structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic infrastructure.
Maintain cable labeling, documentation, and asset records.
Support installation and maintenance of ELV devices connected through IP networks.
Coordinate cabling activities with IT and facility teams.
6. Testing, Commissioning & Project Support
Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Support commissioning activities for new installations and expansion projects.
Conduct integrated system testing and validation.
Review technical drawings and project documentation.
7. Troubleshooting & Incident Response
Diagnose and resolve ELV system faults and alarms.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and failures.
Support emergency response activities during critical events.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurrence.
8. Vendor & Contractor Management
Supervise vendors and contractors performing ELV-related work.
Review Method Statements (MS) and Risk Assessments (RA).
Ensure work is performed according to safety standards, SOPs, and project requirements.
Verify quality and completion of vendor activities.
9. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
Update as-built drawings, SOPs, MOPs, and technical documentation.
Prepare incident reports, maintenance reports, and monthly operational reports.
Manage spare parts inventory and equipment records.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ELV systems, preferably within Data Center, Critical Facilities, Commercial Buildings, or Mission-Critical Environments.
Experience with Data Center operations is highly preferred.
