In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving the policies, programs, and requirements for EHS within our organization. We place a strong emphasis on fostering a sustainable safety culture and promoting employee well-being, and you will play a crucial role in driving these initiatives.
What you will do:
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS strategies, policies, and risk frameworks in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Define and deploy EHS programs at global, regional, and local levels, ensuring proper communication and execution.
- Lead audits, performance assessments, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to EHS regulations and internal policies.
- Provide expert guidance on EHS matters to business units, leadership teams, and functional stakeholders.
- Analyze and report EHS performance metrics and incident data, and recommend actions for continual improvement.
- Represent the organization on EHS matters in internal and external forums, driving engagement and best practices.
- Represent our EHS initiatives both within the organization and to external audiences.
The skills you bring:
- Strong knowledge of environmental and occupational health & safety laws, standards, and management systems.
- Proven ability to influence, lead change, and drive strategic EHS initiatives across matrixed environments.
- Proficient in EHS reporting tools, risk assessment, data analysis, and regulatory compliance monitoring.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal.
- Formal qualifications in EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, MSc/PG in OHS/Environment) with relevant practical experience.
