The Learning & Development Manager plays a strategic role in driving people capability and organizational growth by designing, delivering, and continuously enhancing learning and employee experience initiatives across the business. This role partners closely with business leaders to build leadership capability, strengthen retail performance, and foster a high-performing culture through impactful training, coaching, and engagement programs, ensuring learning strategies are aligned with Valiram's business objectives and long-term growth.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Training Content Design & Development (and localization of global material)
  • Act as accountable owner for maintaining relevance and quality of core content, including but not limited to leadership development programs, coaching and mentoring programs.
  • Take ownership and play a key role in the future development of regionally strategically important educational programs for leaders, to increase the programs offering from the Global Talent Development team.
  • Own the sustainable rollout of Valiram’s core programmes; Onboarding, Retail Essentials & Leadership 101
  • Travel as needed to stores throughout the Indonesian archipelago, to conduct store visits, leadership coaching and in-person facilitation.
  • Spend approximately 50% of time on the salesfloor supporting the development and success of the retail teams, with the remaining 50% spent in the office / classroom, conducting training and designing material.
  • Act as the regional mouthpiece for in Negara leaders and associates ensuring that their needs are met with the design and development of each educational module.
  • Serve as a Master Facilitator for Group programs, training others to conduct programs as required and delivering training for Supervisory and Management programs when required.
  • As a Master Facilitator, assist to facilitate internal team strategy meetings for division / department heads and key senior stakeholders.

Research and Analysis:

  • Provide analysis and insights from various data sources to support development of Training strategy and initiatives specific to the leadership population within the organization.
  • Reporting, analysis, presentation activities in support of educational programs and initiatives.
  • Support the communication of Training programs, policies, and practices.
  • Act as the gatekeeper of all Talent Development related regional data, including but not limited to; compilation of accurate training data – training hours, participants trained, brand led trainings etc

Partnership with Business Clients and Internal Customers:

  • Establish strong partnership with business clients/internal customers to continuously remain aligned with current business issues and opportunities, as related to learning and development.
  • Actively assist in the communication, alignment and implementation of learning and development related initiatives across the region, in support of Valiram business goals and strategic objectives.

Act as the Accountable Gatekeeper for Regional Employee Experience Programs

  • Take ownership and play a key role in the future development of various Employee Experience programsand initiatives, in partnership with the AVP, Global Talent Development and Manager, Employee Experience.
  • Develop innovative communications and messaging that inform and strengthen the employee community across regional geographies, business units and functions.
  • Act as the regional accountable owner for maintaining relevance and quality of designed Employee Experience content, including but not limited to the Embrace a Store & our 4 Festivals programs.
  • Work with key stakeholders such as store and Negara leaders to ensure Employee Experience events are kept up to date and relevant, supporting store and merchandising strategy.
  • Act as the day-to-day accountable owner and Pertama point of contact for the regional store operations teams for all Employee Experience programs.
