PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our team at one of our subsidiary companies (manufacturing). This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in overseeing our procurement operations and ensuring the efficient and effective management of our inventory. As Procurement Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing of materials, goods, and services required to support our manufacturing and logistics operations.

Job Responsibilities :

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the procurement team to ensure timely procurement of materials, goods, and services

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to obtain favourable terms and pricing

• Monitor and analyse purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise inventory levels

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the companys operational and strategic objectives

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations governing procurement and inventory management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align purchasing activities accordingly

• Provide training and guidance to the purchasing team to continuously improve their skills and knowledge

• Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, budgets, and performance metrics

Job Requirements :

• Bachelors degree from a Mandarin-based university or from a recognized university in China is an advantage

• Strong proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement supervisory role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors

• Proficient in data analysis and using procurement software and systems to optimise purchasing processes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team of buyers

• Thorough understanding of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and inventory control principles

• Willing to business trip or to be assigned to other location
