Procurement/Purchasing Assistant Manager (Japanese Speaker)
About the RoleA growing Japanese F&B company is looking for a Purchasing Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth and cost-efficient procurement operations, developing vendor strategies, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead active vendor sourcing to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and meet business requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor Purchasing KPIs and evaluate supplier performance.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to fulfill operational and procurement needs.
Prepare reports and provide insights directly to Assistant Manager / Manager / Director level.
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years of solid experience in Procurement/Purchasing, from any industry (F&B, Manufacturing, Hospitality, or B2C, etc.).
Proven experience in vendor sourcing, cost negotiation, and purchasing strategy.
Leadership exposure: either having led a small team or reported directly to senior management/director.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Independent, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure
